Sheep Scabious "Purple lights"

Perennial rhizomatous plant. The bush is spherical, 35-40 cm high. The roots are shallow, slightly branched. The basal leaves are collected in bunches. In early June, thin, slightly foliated peduncles with narrow small alternate leaves appear. Small blue flowers are collected in heads. The flowers emit a light, slightly perceptible aroma. Numerous inflorescences protruding from the bush create a beautiful soft bluish cloud.
Location: the place must be light, protected from spring frosts. The plant is winter-hardy, but is afraid of dampness.
Soil: light, nutritious, well-drained soil.
Reproduction: Jasione laevis is easily propagated by seeds, self-seeding, dividing the bush, layering.
Use: an ideal plant for creating beautiful color accents on an alpine slide.
